I made my first jump from 800 m above ground level in september 1984 at the Muehldorf / Moessling airport located about 80 km east of Munich. My parachute this time was a triangle shaped Kohnke parachute which was activated by static line. This parachute and the chest reserve is not more seen in the sport today. I used this parachute for my first 2 jumps. For the following static line jumps as well as for several free fall jumps I was then given a XL 30 round canopy. My first own parachute after getting my license was a Para Commander MK II packed in a Pioneer 4-pin rig with chest reserve. Today my log book shows around 600 jumps and I love the sport like the first day. My favourite is formation skydiving and my club is the BMW Luftsport e.V. in Munich. At this club which is the factory airsports club of the famous munich based car and motorcycle manufacturer I am running the skydiving group.
